Iván Martín

Our Translation Director, Iván Martín, graduated from Universidad de Alcalá with a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages ​​and Translation, and since then, he has continued his education with a special focus on transcreation, advertising translation and, ultimately, in learning to connect with all kinds of audiences and internationalisation strategies through the thoughtful use of language.

After a successful internship at Montero, he permanently joined the company in 2018 as a translator and proofreader. Since then, he has gained in-depth experience in different fields and language services for all types of clients, as well as in multiple CAT tools. All this knowledge, combined with his interpersonal skills, easy communication, attention to detail and ability to professionally resolve challenging situations, earned him a new role as head of our in-house translation team in 2024.

His mission is to be the liaison between his team and the rest of the organisation, offering advice and resolving concerns of linguists and clients, promoting the use of translation technology as a key ally for quality and productivity, and providing support to his colleagues on a daily basis so that they can channel their full potential. It is clear that he has a collaborative, coordinated and empathetic leadership style, aimed at harmoniously adapting to the needs of the language services industry, which is constantly evolving.
